Union Minister Of Textile Inaugurated ColorJet Pavilion At ITMA

MILAN, Italy — June 9, 2023 — Smt. Darshana Jardosh, Hon’ble Union State Minister of Textiles & Railways along with Mr. Rohit Kansal (Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India), Dr. Neena Malhotra Ambassador of India to the Republic of Italy inaugurated the ColorJet Pavilion at ITMA 2023, Olympics of Textiles and is the world’s largest textile and garment technology exhibition.

The inauguration marked a significant milestone in the textile industry, showcasing the latest innovations and advancements in textile machinery. The ColorJet Pavilion, a prominent exhibitor and platinum sponsor at ITMA, presented a wide range of cutting-edge Sustainable textile printing solutions. Menswear Brands Cavia And young n sang Showcase Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ Materials In “S|Style Sustainable Style” Exhibition

YAMAGATA, Japan — June 9, 2023 — Spiber’s Brewed Protein fiber has been chosen as a featured material by Kering’s Material Innovation Lab (MIL) and Fondazione Pitti Discovery for the highly anticipated 7th edition of “S|Style sustainable style.” Fondazione Pitti Discovery has been drawing the attention of esteemed international buyers and media representatives, and was curated by L’Officiel Italia journalist Giorgia Cantarini. This renowned exhibition brings together ten handpicked emerging brands which exemplify a harmonious blend of social consciousness and environmental responsibility while maintaining creativity and design.

Among the carefully selected brands, young n sang, a South Korean menswear label known for its exceptional hand weaving techniques, and Cavia, an Italian brand based in Milan celebrated for repurposing and upcycling garments, have joined the movement to transform society and the fashion industry towards a more sustainable future. Both brands have unveiled exclusive collections crafted from Brewed Protein fibers for the first time.

It would be amazing to have it bulkier.”

The exceptional collections were crafted with meticulous attention to detail using Brewed Protein fibers—proprietary lab-grown and circular protein materials produced through microbial fermentation—and will be showcased at Sala delle Nazioni from June 13th to 16th. ANDRITZ’s Partnership With Nouvelles Fibres Textiles And Pellenc ST Enters A New Phase

GRAZ, Austria— June 8, 2023 — In a groundbreaking collaboration, ANDRITZ, Pellenc ST and Nouvelles Fibres Textiles have joined forces to start up their industrial-scale automatic textile sorting line in Amplepuis, France, combining automated sorting and recycling technology.

This new line, mainly dedicated to R&D activities, is the result from the collective reflection of these three players in the textile industry, aligned with the specific needs of the sector and as a means of differentiation to meet its future needs. It is then perfectly tailored to the textile value chain, integrating upstream sorting solutions, and offering an optimal configuration, including the removal of non-textile parts.

With its advanced capabilities, the line can sort complete garments based on their composition and color, achieving maximum purity through accurate and fully customized settings. This adaptability caters to the requirements of both the post-consumer waste and post-industrial waste markets. Furthermore, the line’s flexibility offers an answer to the nonwovens and spinning manufacturers, providing them with the highest quality fibers best suited to the yarn industry, as well as the nonwoven forming and bonding processes.

Ultimately, the line shall offer traceability throughout the entire supply chain, from collection to the production of new recycled fibers. This feature is essential for supporting textile industry stakeholders in their pursuit of valorization and circularity, as well as helping them to achieve their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) program targets.
